POSITION: Associate Software Engineer (Entry Level)
LOCATION: Portsmouth, NH
SUMMARY:
The function of this role will be to design and extend the existing solution. The right candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications with Microsoft software development tools. This role is also expected to work with implementation and training teams to consult with clients and provide subject matter expertise on the VISUAL Manufacturing software package.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Construct code based on software designs
- Participate in reviewing deliverables from other development teams, including designs, test plans, and documentation
- Create technical design documents and configuration documents as required for the successful implementation of the products
- Assist with estimation and planning activities
- Help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design
- Provide assistance with testing and problem resolution as may be required
- Provide training to other groups on the new or changed functionality
- Provide internal support for products
- Provide assistance with testing and problem resolution as may be required
- Works effectively with Software Engineers, QA, Product Management and Customer Support
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Recent college graduate in Computer Science or related field
Required Skills:
- Worked with .NET either VB or C# at some point during your education
- Worked with Databases (MySQL,SqlLite, SQLServer or Oracle) at some point during your education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
preferred skills & KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with writing web applications would be considered a plus, but not mandatory
- Experience with writing Web Services would be considered a plus, but not mandatory
- Experience with Xcode and IOS would be highly desirable
