Senior Business Analyst (Integration Solutions) - Competitive Salary plus Benefits
Infor is looking for an experienced BA to join the SunSystems team based in Farnborough.
Primary responsibility is to gather, analyse and communicate business requirements for assigned product support, product maintenance or development project activities. As a member of the development team, contribute to the design and realisation of solutions to agreed requirements
BA’s will also be expected to work on customer support issues. Initial focus will be on providing solutions for ION based integrations with other Infor and Infor10 products.
Good knowledge of Infor’s Accounting integration processes especially concerning BOD publication and consumption and how these connect.
5+ years experience of using, supporting or testing commercial/business applications.
Functional and technical knowledge of the overall SunSystems product range.
Good understanding of accounting/business practice and terminology.
Practical experience of the business analysis process, from gathering and defining user requirements, through analysis to product design.
Good written and verbal skills
Desirable but not essential skills and experience:
3+ years experience of working in a software house environment, supporting, designing or testing packaged software.
Strong detailed knowledge of the relevant SunSystems product areas.
Practical experience of working with a structured development methodology, preferably the Rational Unified Process (R.U.P.)
Experience of directing and co-ordinating the work of others.
o To be fully accountable for the quality of all analysis, development and testing work carried out, and for its timely delivery in accordance with agreed schedules.
o Work closely with front line support staff, services and partners, and customers as required, in order to resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
o Investigate, validate and prioritize reported product faults
o Gather business requirements for an assigned development project or product maintenance activity.
o Analyse business requirements to ensure they are clearly understood.
o Validate and prioritise requirements having regard to existing commitments, commercial imperatives and product strategy.
o Document and communicate the requirements in accordance with approved methodology. Ensure that requirement and design documents are appropriately distributed, reviewed, discussed, modified, and ultimately approved.
o Represent stakeholders within development team, ensuring that developments meet the business requirement and are fit for purpose.
o Carry out integration testing and system testing of new development work as assigned.
o Assist the team as necessary in terms of testing fault fixes, customer patches, etc.
o Identify and report areas for improvement in both software and documentation.
